After 50 years rare ' rainbow snake ' found in Florida
Rare a rainbow snake has been seen first time in Florida forest after 50 years. The multicolored serpent found in the area. A hiker name, Tracey Cauthen took picture of the 4 foot long multicolored such as black, red, blue and yellow stripes in Ocala National Forest near Orlando. The Fwc Fish and Wildlife Research Institute wrote on their Facebook. In the year 1969, this species first sighting was recorded that was confirmed by the Florida Museum of Natural History. This species are nonvenomous and harmless. This rainbow snake in Florida is significant not just of they are elusive but because of they had been presumed extinct in the area. To protect the rainbow snake under the Endangered Species Act in 2010, had petitioned by the center for biological diversity in Florida. The center said in next year federal government deemed the rainbow snake extinct without conducting a through servey to backup their declaration. $500 offered by the center for any hard evidence of the animals existence. The rainbow snake are not always seen be abuse they burrow underground near the shore or hide under the floating vegetation.
